Weekly links for 4/10.
A lot of Techdirt links this week, but the first one isn’t.
- SOPA Part II: New Cyber Intelligence Bill Threatens To Label Alleged Infringers As National Security Threats, from blog.experts-exchange.com This is a bit of an explination of the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection act, (or CISPA,) but I have a better one.
- CISPA Is A Really Bad Bill, And Here’s Why, from techdirt.com
- Did Congress Really Not Pay Attention To What Happened With SOPA? CISPA Ignorance Is Astounding, from techdirt I especially like the last part of this one, but yeah, I think they were all asleep on 1/18/2012 or something.
- Facebook Buys Instagram for $1 Billion, from mashable. I just had to throw that one in there. The question I have is, why is the evening news talking about Facebook buying Instagram? Is it because it’s Facebook, or because Instagram sold for a billion dollars.
