I got my last SSI check today.

The check put my account over the $ 2000 limit that I had while I was getting SSI. The limit only applied if you were over before the check came in though, it’s nullified now though, so it doesn’t really matter. the SSA called me yesterday to read me the written notification of my increase, yeah… I said they called me. When I filled out the application, she asked me what format I wanted my notices in, and I said just standard print, because that’s what I’ve been getting them in, and my caregiver would read them. When I was filling out the application, the lady said she could have an agent call and read notices to me, so I set that up.
I was supposed to have my yearly housing authority inspection tomorrow. Yeah, supposed to… until the landlord rescheduled it, because he didn’t get the bathroom ceiling fixed in time. In fact, he hasn’t worked on the thing at all. He came up and looked at it at the end of June, and he’s had to fix a couple leaks upstairs, but he’s never actually worked on my ceiling. I’m supposed to have my annual recertification next month, (usually this happens around the 10th or 11th of the month, but with the inspection pushed back until the 23rd, maybe it won’t happen until the end. I’m not sure what this will mean for my rent, because it’s most certainly going to be raised because of my benefits increase, ($126, in fact,) as to when it will be raised though, I’m not sure, (usually those things start in December.)
