Write 31 Days starts tomorrow!

yay! I’m really excited even though I have a splitting headache right now lol. My topic is 31 worship songs that I like, and/or mean something to me. Some of them are about 10 years old, some are hymns, and most are probably from the past 6 years or so. I’m going to include videos and lyrics for each song, then write a bit about why I like it and/or why it’s significant. I probably won’t be writing a lot, just 2-5 sentences, lol but who knows though? These 31 day posts have gotten me to write a few treatises before.
I could say I’ll link each post back here, but I’ve never gotten around to that. This is my third time doing Write31Days, but the first time for this blog. What I’ll do is use a category for this series like i’ve done each year. I’ll also put them under the 31 days category, so they should be easy enough to find. I’ll try to make the effort to link posts back to this one, and just hope I do a better job than in the past.

Oh yeah I need to put a picture here so inlinkz finds it.

Seven Quick Takes.

I think I’ve done Seven QT 3-4 times over my blogging life. It’s perfect when you want to write a list of random thoughts but you can’t come up with 13. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve written plenty of these but they’re usually around 5 items. Well today I think I can get to 7 yay!

  1. I can’t wait until Write 31 Days starts! I have my topic, my titles and I’m ready to go. I’ll be revealing the topic here in a couple days.
  2. I’m massively cleaning up my act, diet-wise. I’ve gone from eating lots of sugar, meat and some fruit/veg to eating fruit/veg some meet, and as little sugar I can get away with. As in sugar that isn’t hidden in foods etc. This means trying not to buy as much processed things and way more fresh food. I went shopping on Monday and started that night.
  3. I’m also doing my best to exercise each day during the week. This is hard on headache days, usually because when I have really bad headaches I don’t want to do anything.
  4. For the past couple days, I’ve been dealing with lack of sleep, which in turn causes me to have fairly bad headaches. I think it’s either my sudden radical diet shift, or the changing seasons. My sleep schedule tends to reset twice a year, once in the fall/winter, and once when it starts heating up a bit in spring.
  5. I’m switching from 43things.com, back to popclogs.com, for my goal setting/tracking site. Yeah I prefer to use a website instead of an app. The 43T devs have pretty much abandoned the site and let spammers take over, not only that but they deleted their FB page and the help page. It isn’t just that though. PopClogs lets you make an unlimited goals list, and well 43Things obviously only lets you list 43. Unfortunately most of the community has gone to 43T though, mainly just for the name. There are no particularly unique features, and it isn’t because we haven’t suggested any.
  6. Prayer request: I need to decide how to rehome a needy, demanding cat that won’t give me any privacy when I’m in the bathroom, and really doesn’t like me to sit here at my desk at all. He’d rather me pet and play with him, (I try to take pet breaks at least 3-5 times a day, a long one in the morning and at night.) Not only that but I spend at least 10 minutes playing with the laser light before I end up in bed. It never seems like enough though because he does this strange thing where he’ll meow and when I call him, not come. He also comes right to the desk every few minutes or so. Oh and get this, if I go to his favorite hangout spot, (my couch,) to pet him, he jumps right off! I lay down and call him but it takes a couple minutes before he comes. Anyway, I’d really like to give him to someone who can stand a needy cat. Please pray that this happens.
  7. Having lack of sleep makes me excited about upcoming events/things I’m looking forward to, or fun goals I’m working on, (yeah I do have some of those.)

Thoughts on a few things.

First, it’s been an interesting couple days. My favorite social network, (Gab,,)this one from GatewayPundit, both explain the situation better than I am right now.
I know registrars have to be accredited by ICANN, but it isn’t the registrar’s job to police content. If ICANN wants to police content on every domain registered by every registrar, then they should figure out a way to do it themselves. Of course they’re not going to do that so they ask the registrars to do it for them. In this case, Asia Registry was happy to oblige. Gab tweeted earlier today, on it’s Twitter account, (@getongab, that they found a new registrar, (yay!)
In a completely unrelated note, I started my Christmas list last week. Blah, I’m already dreading sending it out. We have absolutely no idea what we’re going to be doing this year. Both my parents, and my sister and her husband along with my niece and a whole bunch of step kids that I’m now legally related to, (which is weird,) are between houses. Why they decided to sell both houses and move at the same time, I have no flippin idea! Needless to say, Christmas is going to be different this year. They’re all going to be living in trailers, and I can’t imagine we’ll be having Christmas there. Although maybe that’s just me.
I still haven’t decided on what I’m doing with this blog. I really don’t need all the features of WP for throwing words into a form! I know I’m not going back to Blogger or Tumblr though, that’s for sure! I think I have 3 different platforms to choose from, if not more.
On another blog-related note, I’m really looking forward to Write 31 days, which starts next month! Maybe I’ll get my butt back into blogging again, lol! Of course, I have the topic all planned out and a list of post titles already made, but I’ll save that for another time.

Places I’ve been lately.

Yeah I know I’ve been neglecting this blog, but I’ve been blogging other places. Mostly my radio3.io linkblog. Radio3 is a service that posts links directly to an RSS feed and Twitter, and it’s the simplest service I’ve seen in a while. The fact that you can open up a bookmarklet, write a description, (if it’s longer than 140 characters, it doesn’t get tweeted,) and click “submit” and it goes directly to the feed is epic! No themes to deal with at all, since ya know, it’s just rss. So here’s my Radio3 feed clicky clicky, and see all my random links.
After a link gets posted to Radio3 it goes to my Micro.blog site which is: https://micro.blog/hope I really like micro.blog, it’s a federated and open version of Twitter, because it’s based on something Twitter doesn’t do, RSS.
I also set up 1999.io, but haven’t been able to get it to work yet. Don’t get me wrong, I think WP still has it’s place for business blogs. It’s flexible and powerful, and provides you with whatever plugins and themes you want to use, (everything under the sun.) If you just want simple, no-frills blogging though, services like this are the way to go.
I’m thinking about using one of these simple services for my personal blog, whether I pay for a micro.blog site, or just switch to a different CMs that’s just a blog platform, I really don’t know yet.
