31 songs day 13.

Lol, I just typed day 31 on accident, woopsy! There will be a day 31, but definitely not today. The song I’m posting about is an older one, circa 5-6 years ago, (I think.) It’s Holy Spirit, the Francesca Battistelli version. There’ve been lots of other versions of this song done, but I like hers the best.

Lyrics:

There’s nothing worth more
That could ever come close
No thing can compare
You’re our living hope
Your presence, Lord
I’ve tasted and seen
Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
And my shame is undone
Your presence, Lord

[Chorus:]
Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord

There’s nothing worth more
That could ever come close
No thing can compare
You’re our living hope
Your presence, Lord
I’ve tasted and seen
Of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
And my shame is undone
Your presence, Lord

[Chorus]

[x4:]
Let us become more aware of Your presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

[Chorus]

I was introduced to this song when I was a part of a prayer group at my old church. They used to play it in the mornings before we went to pray for the people who were coming in. Sometimes it would be on when we came back into the room to wait for others. This was before Francesca Battistelli released the version that would end up on the radio, probably about a couple years before that. I often sing this song in the morning, to welcome the Holy Spirit into my home, and my day.
