31 songs day 15

I don’t see myself catching up with 31 Days, but I’m going to post as many as I can until the month is over. The song I’m posting for day 15 is No Longer Slaves, by Bethel music, and sung by Jonathan David & Melissa Helser.

Lyrics:

You unravel me with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance from my enemies
‘Til all my fears are gone

[2x]
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

From my mother’s womb
You have chosen me
Love has called my name
I’ve been born again into your family
Your blood flows through my veins

[4x]
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

I am surrounded
By the arms of the father
I am surrounded
By songs of deliverance

We’ve been liberated
From our bondage
We’re the sons and the daughters
Let us sing our freedom

[2x]
You split the sea
So I could walk right through it
My fears were drowned in perfect love
You rescued me
And I will stand and sing
I am a child of God.

Yes, I am
I am a child of God
I am a child of God
Yes, I am
I am a child of God
Full of faith
Yes, I am a child of God
I am a child of God

[3x]
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God

We started singing this song in church last year. I believe we first did it as an offertory. I really liked the song, because it reminded me of the journey I’ve taken over the past few years. I decided to post this song after the book I read yesterday. Both my faith and freedom were reaffirmed.
