Survey answers.

I’m way, way late on posting this! However I said I would so here it goes. I posted a survey-ish thingy over on DailyQuestions a couple days ago. I said I’d post the answers here and I just hadn’t got around to it.

  1. What’s your favorite season? I’m a spring and fall person. Don’t get me wrong, I do like all the summer food! I also really enjoy snow, (probably since we don’t get it here all that much,) but I pretty much like in between weather. I don’t like it freezing cold, or extremely hot.
  2. What’s your goal today? Lol well when I was posting this, that was a good question. The goal was to get that posted hah! Now I suppose the goal is to finish this post and eventually hit the bed.
  3. When was the last time you were up all night? Lol It was last Friday night, (or it could’ve been Thursday.) I had a major case of “don’t want to go to bed!” syndrome, so I stayed up all night surfing.
  4. Have you ever considered joining the military? I considered it when I was in high school, unfortunately they wouldn’t take me because of my blindness, and now I wouldn’t ever do it.
  5. What kinds of cereal do you have in your home right at this very moment? Corn flakes and checks, I think. Oh yeah and maybe some Cheerios.

If you want to have some fun answering these questions, you can go right here, and play along.

Update on my 2018 goals.

I actually have several goals in progress, and 3 complete so far.
Completed:
42. Make a list of books I would like to read this year, to make choosing books easier, instead of the almost 500 books I have in my TBR list over on Goodreades.) Done February 2018. The list has 16 books on it so I’d say I’m finished lol.
25. Cut out as much TV as I can, replace with podcasts, reading, (books or articles,) and worship/praise music.) Completed March, 2018. Actually, I’ve been doing this since I canceled my cable last December, with the exception of the Olympics. Other than that I only stream about 3-4 shows online per week.
24. Start 3 more blogs. Done February/March, 2018. Actually, I went and started like 5, lol.
IN progress:
1. Read 1 book a month, besides the bible. I’ve actually been doing really well at this one. I’m on my 3rd book for the year!
8. Do one new thing a month, no matter how small. January was my first ambulance ride, and last month I bought 7 domains all at once, no I have no idea what I’ll be doing this month!
39. Read scripture daily, even if it’s just one verse! I’ve done fairly well at this, especially with my challenge last month!
Turns out, I failed to observe Lent because I really wasn’t paying attention to when it started, and how early Easter was. Guess I failed one goal for this year already.

Next month will be fun!

Yep it will, because I’m going to attempt to do the April A to Z challenge, on 2 different blogs! Not only that, but I’m not the kind of person that writes posts ahead. Sure I might write one and schedule it for the next day, but I never usually have like a weeks worth of posts all ready to go.
Not only that, but I’ll be attempting to follow a theme on BloggingSimply, which will be interesting, because I’ve never used a theme before. I’ll be blogging from A to Z about well… blogging! That’s the general theme of that particular blog, so I suppose I better follow it when I participate in the challenge, right?
Maybe next year, I’ll attempt to have a bit more fun by trying it on 3 blogs. Hmm, while that sounds fun I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep up with all the posts!

30 things about me.

I’m not a horse blogger but I saw a meme and said OK I’ll go for it! May As Well Event is the host of this little listy project. OK, here it goes.

  1. I love making lists! If you read my blog you probably already know that, but making lists is definitely a thing I do regularly, and I enjoy doing it.
  2. I enjoy filling out those online surveys, no, not the surveys that ask you about car ensurance etc, but the ones that ask questions like “what’s your favorite food?”
  3. I can’t stand my legal name, so I use a pseudonym online.
  4. I’m a devout Christian and try to get to church whenever I can.
  5. I love to sing! I also know I’m not very good at it.
  6. I’m not one of those people that’s on my phone all the time. In fact, I rarely use my smartphone for anything but calling, texting, and the ocasional music player.
  7. I’ll turn 35 on August 25th.
  8. I’m an epic procrastinator!
  9. I’m also a perpetual motion machine, I’m pretty much always moving, even when seated.
  10. I hate celebrating my birthday with my immediate family, because it usually involves way too much drama!
  11. Up until I was around 6 or so, I hated ice cream.
  12. I’ve been blogging since 2003, it will be 15 years in July.
  13. That being said, I’m a crappy excuse for a web developer.
  14. I get headaches often, no… we can’t figure out why.
  15. I took ballet lessons for 3 years, up until I was in 9th grade.
  16. I find doing yoga to be a good form of exercise, but I don’t ascribe to the new-age spiritual rituals that are often used.
  17. I enjoy following a good legal case every now and then. Sometimes they’re tech and/or privacy related, and other times they’re criminal trials.
  18. I first became interested in legal cases by following the OJ Simpson trial. This was partly thanks to my teacher requiring us to watch CNN in our classroom.
  19. When I was younger, I used to enjoy classical music. I now consider country and Christian to be my favorites.
  20. I enjoy dancing in church! During worship… that is.
  21. Baking is one of my favorite things, that being said if I do too much, I’ll eat way, way too much!
  22. I like to make my own birthday cakes, because no one seems to share my taste in cake.
  23. I enjoy both coffee and tea, but usually find myself drinking water or PowerAid in the morning.
  24. I consider myself a morning person, I like to get up early.
  25. That being said I tend to have nights where I stay up, being distracted by the internet. I call this “internet distraction syndrome.”
  26. I’ve pretty much eliminated TV from my life, except for a couple shows that I stream online.
  27. However, I’m a major fan of the Olympics!
  28. 404 is my favorite number. If you know why this is, you’ve probably found this page.
  29. I can’t stand mustard and mayonnaise on sandwiches.
  30. However, when it comes to McDonalds cheeseburgers, I’ll eat the mustard and catchup they put on.

OK, now you know a bit about me. I’ll probably make this a page at some point, considering I need to make an about page on here.

Stuff I’ve been up to recently.

Well today I took a trip to the dentist. I think I enjoyed my stay in the hospital more than I’d ever enjoy going to the dentist! I absolutely hate that place! Thankfully, I just had to have a cleaning done today. I canceled the other appointment on Wednesday, which was for fillings, I really don’t want to have those done at all.
On a completely unrelated note, I have yet to pick a book for this month. I was rereading Atlas Shrugged and that took about 3 weeks, (yeah the book is long!) Thing is, I really can’t decide what to read next after that!
I’ve been setting up lots of WP sites, I think I’ve set up 6 so far, and if I decide to put my linkblog back on WP after the cool plugin I found that lets you actually link to the page, instead of the URL of the post, that will be 7. yep, I now have 7 blogs! I think Twitter actually hates me now, because well… I keep spamming them with my blog tweets, lol. I think I’m going to spend tomorrow writing most of the posts for the week, so I can get them scheduled, since writing several posts daily is kind of interesting.

Currently March 2018.

So in order to give everyone a bit of insight into what I’m doing, I decided to join Currently linkup. OK, here it goes.
planning: Lots and lots of blog posts!
seeing: Lol well not a whole lot, because I can’t. Tomorrow I’ll be taking a trip to the store though so maybe that counts?
making: lots of lists! Oh man, I’m definitely a list-lover!
pretending: I try not to pretend too much, unless I’m really tired and have a whole bunch of stuff to get done, then I pretend I’m full of energy.
wearing: Workout pants and a t-shirt, it’s what I always wear around the house.
