Things I’ve done before 35 day 3.
Today I’m going to talk about what I should’ve talked about in the beginning. I’m going to talk about the very first thing on my list, and that’s the fact that I became a Christian.
I wasn’t raised in church, so I guess it’s a bit of an interesting story as to how it happened. During the Summer of 1993, (I think,) a family friend was taking my sister and I to Vacation Bible School. To this day, I don’t remember which church was holding the VBS.
One day a lady brought me back into a room, and she started asking me questions. She asked if I believed Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and I said yes. I don’t remember what other questions she asked. All I remember is saying a prayer with her. The feeling that I had after that is kind of hard to describe. It was a bit of extreme excitement and feeling epically light all at once!
After that, we went to my mom’s hair salon to tell her the news. I was still pretty excited, and everyone in the shop was too.
