I’ve gotten a bit of a cold it seems. I didn’t feel well all day yesterday, and I still don’t feel that well today.
Today I’m going to talk about the day I was baptized. It was Easter Sunday 2007. Being baptized was something I’d wanted to do for like 10-12 years before that. When I started going to church in February 2007, I was pretty sure they were going to have a baptism service sometime that year. I was right, but I had no idea it was going to be on Easter Sunday.
My family had a lot of reservations about this. Mom asked what happens if you go to another church? Well the thing with baptism is that once you’ve done it, it’s already done. There are certain exceptions to that, of course, but that’s usually how it goes. Some denominations want you to be baptized by their pastors etc, but usually once you come up out of the water the first time, you don’t have to do it again.
