31 songs day 6.

OK so yeah I’m behind, that’s definitely the case! I’m going to post 6, 7, and 8 tonight then work on the other 3 tomorrow.
The first song I’m posting about is Break Every Chain. The version I found on Youtube is by Jesus Culture, but I have one from like 2011 that’s by various artists, (I believe it’s mostly United Pursuit.)

Lyrics:

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

(There is power)
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
To break every chain
To break every chain

To break every chain
To break every chain
Break every chain

All sufficient sacrifice
So freely given
Such a price
Bought our redemption
Heaven’s gates swing wide

We believe!

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

(There is power)
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

There is power, power
Wonder working power
In His Name
We believe, we believe
We believe

There’s an army rising up
There’s an army rising up
There’s an army rising up

To break every chain
To break every chain
To break every chain

There’s an army rising up
There’s an army rising up
There’s an army rising up

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus
There is power in the name of Jesus

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

To break every chain
Break every chain
Break every chain

I first heard this song when we sang it during a worship night at my old church about 5-6 years ago. It used to come up in the prayer group I was a part of all the time. So much so that especially if we were praying for each other, we’d all start singing. Around 2013 or so, a band called Digital Age came out with a version that was on the radio. I never liked that one because I thought it was too short, and there was way too much editing done.

K is for kindness.

Yeah, that’s a broad subject, right? Tell me about it! Ever since I was little, my parents taught me to be kind to others. I remember one time, we went Christmas shopping for a family who was in need in our neighborhood. Not only that, but mom has done various things like that through her job, one time, she took a car-load of presents to a family that the company she was working for adopted, (they had an “adopt a family” program going for Christmas.)
It wasn’t until my very first Blogathon though, (2006,) that this lesson really took hold. Seeing lots of people coming together to do something for charity really did have an impact on me. Since then, I’ve done my best to give to others when I can. Not only that though, but I enjoy praying for people as well. From 2012-2015 I took part in a prayer group at my old church. I’d like to try to get on the prayer team at my new church.
